昨年10月に伊豆諸島の大島が台風による土砂崩れにより大きな被害を受けました。大島は椿が名物ということもあり、土砂崩れで流されず生き残った椿の花と佐々木の書によるコラボレーションで作品を制作し、写真におさめました。 椿を用いた作品のポストカードと写真作品の売り上げは必要経費を除き、大島の被災者への義援金となります。

 

Last October, the island was hit by a typhoon, which triggered a mudslide that swept away many people and their houses. Ooshima has been known for its beautiful camellia flowers that grow everywhere in the island. Using camellias that survived the typhoon, the artist created her artwork, and asked a photographer to take pictures of her creations. Proceeds from the Ooshima camellia artwork will go to Ooshima survivors.
